Natalie Clarke
Classical Ballet Teacher
Natalie is a dance instructor specialising in classical ballet, she is passionate about sharing her knowledge of the art form and giving back to the dance community.
Natalie has been teaching since 2010 after 16 years of experience as a professional ballet dancer. She holds a Graduate Diploma of Elite Dance Instruction from the Australian Ballet School, a Professional Dancer ‘s Teaching Diploma from the Royal Academy of Dance and has gained a Modern Jazz Teaching Certificate with the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dance.
Her training began in Sydney at the Donna Halloran School of Dance at the age of 5 years old. Her love of dance led her to pursue dance further by moving to Melbourne to study full time at the National Theatre Ballet School and then at the Australian Ballet School, where she graduated with an Advance Diploma in Dance. She realised her dream of having an international performing career working for Singapore Ballet (formerly known as Singapore Dance Theatre) and West Australian Ballet. She danced principal and soloist roles, including the classics such as Giselle, The Nutcracker, La Sylphide and Swan Lake, as well as working with renowned choreographers from Europe, Asia, and America.
She has taught full time at School Of The Art Singapore, Jitterbugs Singapore and part time at Lasalle College of the Arts, Jeffrey Dance Academy and City Ballet Academy in Singapore. She has also taught at a variety of dance schools throughout Australia including conducting masterclasses for the Australian Ballet School in Sydney (2019, 2021, 2022) and Adelaide (2019).
